First Epidemiology, then Radio
Following a successful career in public health at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a medical epidemiologist, Philip Graitcer became a full-time independent radio producer. Radio, A Life-long Dream

In 2006, he was the co-producer of GPB’s Health Desk, overseeing and aiding in the reporting of a 35 story series on health issues in Georgia. His features are heard primarily on WABE, the NPR radio affiliate in Atlanta, and the Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) network. Graitcer’s features have aired on NPR’s Weekend Edition Saturday, Morning Edition, Marketplace, The World, Weekend America, NPR’s Only A Game, Tablet, and the Voice of America.
